Pool Operation Rules & Safety Regulations

The following rules and regulations have been established for the protection and benefit of all members and their guests and to assist in the safe and sanitary operation of the pool facility. The management shall be the final decision maker on all rules.

I. The pool will be open seven days a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting. The closing date may be extended by the management in the event of favorable weather conditions if,in his opinion, this extension is feasible.

II. The pool will be open generally from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday through Sunday for open swimming depending on the level of attendance and the discretion of the management.

III. The management shall restrict swimming or prohibit swimming for periods of maintenance, inclement weather or poor health conditions.

IV. Fifteen minutes of every hour may be designated as a rest period. Pool

Pool Rules & Safety Regulations

No Lifeguard – Swim At Your Own Risk

 • The Pool Attendant on duty is the final decision maker on all rules.

• There will be no Member wristbands for the Pool; however, Members will need to show their EYC Member ID card and sign-in to enter the Pool area.  For Members who don't have their card with them, or lost their card, etc., a $30 charge will be incurred for a replacement,  A temporary ID card will be issued for entrance at the front gate and charged accodingly

• For Members' Guests, a wristband will be required at a charge of $5 per Guest, with a maximum limit of 6 Guests per day, per Member number.  Should a Member want to bring in more than 6 guests on a weekday, a propr authorization from Management will be required.  Guests who are age 3 and under will not be charged, or require a wristband.

* Members will need to meet their Guests a the front Pool gate and sign a "chit" for their Guest Pool charges to go on their Member acount.  No cash accepted for Guest wristbands.  According to By-Laws, Article I, Section 8(a): "...extend priviliges of the Club to their children, up to and including the age of twenty (20)...".  This means any family member OVER the age of 21 would need a Guest wrisband to enter the pool.  Anyone other than an immediate family member will require a Guest wristband (ie: grandparents, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc. will require a Guest wristband and charged the $5 guest fee).  Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a Parent.  Children of Members ages 13-20 will be issued ONE Summer ID/Pass to be used for the 2018 Season when they first come to the Pool.  They will use this pass for the Season.

* There will not be a fee for Members to bring a Guest to drink at the Tiki Bar, however, the Member will still need to show their EYC Member Card as identification to the Guard at the front pool gate entrance.

• Admission to the pool may be refused to any obviously ill person or person with a cold, cough, infection, open wound, sore or wearing bandages.

Lightning Rule:  For the Safety of our Members and Guests, the Pool Attendant will close the pool if lightning is seen or thunder is heard in the area.

• During rest periods, adults 18 and over may swim. Children 17 years of age and under must stay out of the pool entirely during rest period.  This is the perfect time for children to use the restroom, get re-hydrated, re-apply sunscreen, etc.

Tobacco use is prohibited at the Pool & Pool Bar (inside the gates).  Please use cigarette receptable outside of back gate.
• Obscene or abusive language is cause for expulsion from the pool.

• All children 6 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a swimming adult 18 years and older at all times.

• All children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years and older.

• Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and children.

• Proper swim attire is required at all times; Thong bathing suits are not permitted.
• Footwear is required in the restrooms.

Pool Bar• If required, only proper swim diapers are permitted.

• No Glass in the pool area.

• No food and or gum in the pool.

• No running or horseplay in the pool or pool area.

• No Diving.

• Ladders are for entry and exit only.

• Only USCG approved flotation devices will be allowed.

• No Air-inflated flotation devices, flippers or rigid plastic toys will be allowed in the pool.

• No pets are to be brought to the Pool facility, within the Pool gates.

• Life saving equipment is not to be tampered with and should be left in place to be used only in an emergency.

• No property or equipment shall be removed from the Pool Facility without the express written permission of the management.
